I am a native Spanish speaker from Peru, who also has Chilean heritage, who is a dynamic and results-driven tutor. I hope to spread multicultural awareness by teaching basic Spanish fundamentals. My extensive knowledge of Spanish literature, grammar, and reading has helped me become the skilled tutor that I am today. I teach both children and adults and help them improve their Spanish skills through the use of literature, conversation, and reading. I strive to always provide interesting and dynamic learning methods.I am well known in the Italian and Spanish departments of MSU because of the tutoring I have provided to students of all ages, as well as for my individual performance in school. MSU has publicly recognized me and provided me with scholarships. I have recently been assigned as the director for the Montclair Spanish Tutoring Program. I have also received a nomination to become a part of the Hispanic Honor Society. While I am a candidate for a position in the prestigious City University of New York's MA/ PhD program, I still have plenty of time to take part in my personal interests. This mostly includes writing short stories and enjoying a little peace and quiet.
