Experience
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Biology from Johns Hopkins University. I then attended Rutgers where I received my master's degree in Biomedical Science. I am currently pursuing a medical degree at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.I have worked extensively with students in grades K-8 in all core subjects and have a special love for tutoring math. I enjoy tutoring undergraduate and high school students in the fields of math and science. I have specific experience tutoring algebra 1 & 2, geometry, trigonometry, biology, physical chemistry, physiology, genetics, writing, and inorganic chemistry. I am also adept at teaching students how to prepare for standardized tests such as the SAT, GRE, HSPT, ISEE, and SSAT.As a student myself, and as a tutor, it has become clear to me that each student will have different academic strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. It is imperative that these are identified and addressed if the student is to become academically successful. Once I know more about the student I create a tutoring plan that is created for their needs. Doing this with all of my students has proven to be quite effective.When I am not pursuing my own studies or tutoring I enjoy watching NBA games as well as other professional sports and learning about new consumer technology.
