Education
In 2011, I earned a B.A. in French from Rutgers University, with a GPA of 3.6. In 2012, I earned a M.Ed. in Special and Elementary Education from the Graduate School of Education at Rutgers University. I graduated from this program with a 4.0 GPA. I am currently attending Fairleigh Dickinson to receive an Orton Gillingham Teacher Certificate.
Experience
I have three years of experience teaching as a Special Education Resource Teacher in elementary school. During this time, I have worked very closely with second and third grade, but have also had experience working with students and subject matter in grades K-5. Teaching is what I love to do, and so I am always looking for new ways to advance and strengthen my trade. I am currently one year into a two-year graduate program at Fairleigh Dickinson University, where I will receive an Orton Gillingham Teacher Certificate. Through this program I have had experience working with the lower level multi-sensory scope and sequence, and completed over 60 clinical hours of Orton Gillingham instruction. I also tutor regularly after school and during the summer. I enjoy tutoring because I believe that it is a great way for students to receive the additional tools and strategies they need to be successful in the classroom. My teaching style revolves around patience and consistency. All of my students know that I am happy to repeat myself as many times as necessary, and in as many ways as necessary, in order to build understanding. I believe in giving students the confidence that they need to put their best foot forward.

Hobbies
I have always enjoyed working in role model and caretaker positions. From a young middle school age I have had experience volunteering and working at after school care, summer camps, and art therapy for children and adults with special needs. I also enjoy reading regularly, cooking new recipes, and traveling.
